I assisted Dr. Meadows with his research of the invasive red lionfish in the Gulf of Mexico. Compiling previous academic papers to quantify the doubling time, dispersal methods, and migratory patterns of lionfish. I assessed the monetary damages of the lionfish invasion in the millions of dollars and proposed that there are positive externalities downstream for market based lionfish management.
